Hg, a technology investor based in London, announced on 3 November that it will invest in a new company that helps European businesses adopt AI. Anthropic, the maker of the Claude chatbot, is also taking part, alongside private angel investors.

The new firm will be independent and is due to launch formally later this year. According to Hg, it will build on Claude and place engineers inside client teams, aiming for real results rather than pilot projects that stall.

Hg says the company will focus on European organisations and the mix of languages and regulations they work with. The announcement does not say how much money is involved, how the company is valued, or who will run it.

Why it matters to you: If your employer is slow to bring AI into daily work, outside help like this is one way many European firms may do it. Details are thin so far, so treat this as an early signal. This is news, not investment advice.
